Furnished isn’t the same as finished
Most people get the big decisions right. The sofa is fine. The colours work. The room is, by any reasonable measure, done.
And it still feels like it’s waiting for something.
That gap — between a room that’s furnished and a room that’s finished — is almost never closed by more furniture. It’s closed by the layers that go on top. The lamp that stops the ceiling light flattening everything. The rug that makes the floor feel warm. The mirror that gives a blank wall something to say.
Nexora exists for those layers.
What we sell
Five categories, each one a different way a room gets finished:
Wall Art & Mirrors — prints, canvases, wall clocks and decorative mirrors, for the walls that are currently doing nothing.
Lighting & Ambience — table and floor lamps, LED strips, lanterns and candle holders, because one overhead light is never enough.
Vases, Plants & Greenery — vases, planters, artificial plants and trailing greenery, for the thing a room needs that isn’t furniture.
Cushions, Throws & Textiles — cushion covers, throws, rugs and runners, to soften rooms full of hard surfaces.
Showpieces & Table Decor — figurines, trays, frames, trinket dishes and coasters, for the surfaces that look bare or look cluttered and never quite look right.
We’ve kept it to five on purpose. Decor is a category where it’s easy to list ten thousand items and stand behind none of them. We’d rather carry a range we can describe accurately.
The problem we’re actually solving
Home decor has the highest return rate of any category in online retail, and the reason is almost always the same: scale.
The mirror that looked substantial in the photo arrives the size of a dinner plate. The rug that was going to anchor the seating area turns out to be a bath mat. The vase in the styled shot was next to a book for a reason.
This happens because photographs don’t carry scale, and because a lot of listings don’t give you the numbers to check.
So we do three things about it.
Dimensions on every product page. Width, height, depth. Not “medium”. Actual numbers, in centimetres.
A reference in the photography wherever we can. Something recognisable in the frame so your eye can judge the size without doing arithmetic.
Guidance on where it goes. Hanging heights for art. Rug sizes relative to seating. Lamp heights relative to a side table. The things an interior designer knows and a product page usually doesn’t tell you.
How we choose what to stock
Does it look like the photograph? Finishes photograph generously. We look at what actually arrives — whether the “brass” is brass-coloured plastic, whether the ceramic glaze is even, whether the frame is solid or foil-wrapped board.
Will it survive being owned? Decor doesn’t take much abuse, but it does take years. Fading, warping, finish peeling, fixings pulling out of the wall — these are the complaints that show up at month six, and they’re the ones we check for.
Does it work with things people already own? A piece that demands an entire room be rebuilt around it isn’t decor, it’s a commitment. We stock things that sit alongside what you’ve already got.
Is it priced for what it is? Not the cheapest. The point where the price and the object agree with each other.
If something fails one of these, it doesn’t go up. If reviews start saying the same thing twice, it comes down.
What you can expect
Sizes you can trust. Measure your wall, your sofa, your shelf, then check against the numbers on the page. They’ll match.
Descriptions that mention the material. Real ceramic, powder-coated metal, MDF with veneer — stated plainly, because “premium finish” tells you nothing.
No invented urgency. No countdown timers, no “7 people viewing”, no crossed-out price nobody ever paid. If stock is genuinely low, we’ll say so because it’s true.
Help before you order, not after. Not sure what size mirror suits your wall, or how many cushions is too many? Send us the measurements. We’d rather spend ten minutes on that than process a return.
What we won’t tell you
That one object will transform your home. It won’t.
Rooms come together through accumulation — a few good decisions made over months, not one purchase made in an evening. Anyone promising otherwise is selling you urgency, not decor.
Buy one thing. See how it changes the room. Then decide what’s next.
What’s coming
We’re building the range slowly: start focused, listen to what customers say worked in their actual homes, expand where there’s a real gap rather than a trending product.
Seasonal and occasion decor is next — Ramadan, Eid, National Day — because those are the moments people most want a room to look right.
If you’ve been hunting for something specific and can’t find it, tell us. Customer requests are the clearest signal we get.
